Disintegration Beam (VH)

Regular
Shoot a beam of antimatter from one hand. Each turn, the caster rolls versus DX- 4 or Innate Attack skill to hit, and rolls for damage if he hits. This attack may be dodged or blocked, but not parried. The caster may cast the spell as many times as he has hands and emit a Disintegration Beam from each hand; a Disintegration Beam from the caster’s “off” hand suffers the usual -4 penalty to hit.
Only dust and ashes remain (objects cannot be repaired!). If damage rolled doesn’t destroy the subject, then only the part hit is affected. This spell affects inanimate and living creatures alike, and can affect parts of objects.
HP & DR of Objects & Cover

Duration: 1 second.
Cost: 2 to 8 points. Does 1d (2) damage for every 2 points put into the spell. The beam's range in yards is equal to 3x the number of dice. Same cost to maintain.
Prerequisites: Flame Jet, Burning Death (VH), Disintegrate (VH).

Wand, staff, or glove.
Energy cost to create: 2000.
Usable only by mages.


Armor Divisor

 Armor Divisor is a “penetration modifier” e.g. 1d-1 (2); divide the target's DR by the Armor Divisor number to find how much applies. i.e. target has 6 DR, divided by (2) equals 3 effective DR for this attack.
