Emits a wide cone of gale force wind from the caster's hand. Each turn, roll against Innate Attack or DX-4 to hit, using the Cone rules on B413. It does double knockback on all targets; it can knock down even large swarms of flying creatures. It extinguishes normal fire within its radius.
The shockwave does injury damage to vaporous beings or swarms.
The caster may cast this spell as many times as he has hands; cones wielded in the 'off hand' have the usual -4 penalty to hit.
Duration: 1 second
Cost: 1 to 3 points. Deals 2d knockback for each full point of energy put into the spell. The cone has a maximum range and maximum width equal to half the energy put into the spell.
Same cost to maintain.
Prerequisites: Air Jet.

Energy cost to create: 600.
A cone is one yard wide at its origin, but increases in width at a “rate of spread” equal to its specified maximum width divided by its maximum range. For instance, a cone with a maximum range of 100 yards and a maximum width of 5 yards would spread by one yard per 20 yards of range; out at 60 yards, it would be three yards wide.
- If maximum width is unspecified, assume the cone spreads by one yard per yard of range.
A cone affects everyone within its area, but anyone who is completely screened from the attacker by an object or person is behind cover, which protects normally.
