Hold a hot piece of iron (STR-3 and Will-3)
Find your way out of a maze (IQ)

Trial by Combat
Well of course
Could be fair, lightly rigged, or totally unfair

Trial by Judge
Bribery will either help, or really hinder
Use a reaction roll, and/or perhaps an Influence roll.
+1 to +3 for evidence
-1 to -3 for negative evidence

Criminal Punishment

• Fines or restitution
• Public humiliation (eg. The stock)
• Prison, sometimes hard labor
• Beating, stoning, flogging
• Branding
• Maiming
• Deprivation of rights (loss of citizenship, rights to carry weapons, or formal status)
• Exile, temporary, or permanent
• Slavery, either to government, or victim of crime
• Imposition of task or quest
• Imposition of psionic, magical or technological bond to make repeat offenses impossible.
• Combat in the arena
• Torture
